This week (Jan. 19th-25th) is the much anticipated annual event, Toronto Design Offsite festival, during which a number of designers spanning a range of disciplines from furniture and lighting design, to graphic displays and immersive installations showcase their designs in unexpected locations throughout the city. As part of this city-wide event, one of our favorite designs shops, Mjölk, is hosting a design retrospective for the celebrated Norwegian design team Anderssen & Voll. In conjunction with the retrospective, Anderssen & Voll have designed a new line of indoor gardening tools, which have been produced by craftspeople in the Toronto area. The exhibition opens tonight from 7-10 PM at Mjölk, in the junction district of Toronto. Anderssen & Voll will also be at Mjölk Saturday morning talking about their new collection, and experience as designers. If you are in need of a dose of good design, this would be an ideal weekend to take a drive up north and immerse yourself in the creative soul of the city.
